News… Cheesegrater's supposed "last ever gig"
at Diss Youth Center last Friday turned out to be a triumphant return to
form! The boys performed a great set to a large and appreciative audience of
drunken fools. The local scene were all representing, with hundreds of people
outside skating, cavorting and drinking and and 100 or so jumping about like
lunatics inside. Acidseed headlined, and played a wicked rap metal set.
Septico peni opened the show with classic hits such as fuck your fax machine,
and got a good mosh pit going. Much fun was had by all, especially Stebbs who
met the new love of his life, took a ride in a shopping trolly and got stuck
on top of a lamp-post! The cheese now have renewed their enthusiasm and
rehearsals and recording sessions are planned for the upcoming weeks. There
are also great plans afoot for an emo-rock-ska-punk-metal supergroup
comprised of our Stebbsy, Alec from septico, Ceg from acidseed, Rupert from
Moondolly, Vicki from My Own Demise and many more, possibly covering
saves-the-day and the dead kennedys!! You heard it here first! The band also have a new official sister site, Cheesegrater2 which features exclusive
reviews, lyrics, set lists and band info written by the band themselves! Well
Stebbsy at least! Which is nice... A crazed fan has also started a fan site to the
band, Cheesegraterfan which
is quite frankly very strange and freaky. Cheesegrater are also looking for loads more gigs
so if anyone has a house-party, band night or funeral in the works please
contact the band. They are currently lined up to play at the SN sounds in the
park gig, along with mates acidseed and septico peni, plus many more!. |
